Kenyans at the Olympics
The Complete Record, 1956–2024
Coming Soon
Seven decades of Kenya at the Olympic Games, gathered into a single volume for the first time — the athletes, the squads, the medals, and the moments, from a colonial-era debut in Melbourne to the champions of Paris.
Kenya's Olympic story is usually told through its icons. This book tells all of it. Alongside the legends — Kipchoge Keino, David Rudisha, Faith Kipyegon, Eliud Kipchoge — it records every athlete who has ever worn Kenya's colours at the Games: the hockey teams of the 1950s, the boxers, the shooters, the swimmers, the pioneers whose names appear in no other book.
Each edition of the Games gets its own chapter: a narrative introduction, the highlights, a full medallist table with results, and the complete squad list — 694 athletes across 24 Games (16 Summer, 4 Winter, 3 Youth, and 1 Youth Winter Olympic Games), cross-verified against official Olympic records. Coverage extends beyond the Summer Games to the Winter Olympics, the Youth Olympic Games, and Kenya's Paralympic journey, with appendices and a full athlete index for quick reference.
It is designed the way a reference book should be: dense with facts, easy to navigate, and honest about its sources. A methodology section documents exactly how the record was compiled and verified — and invites corrections, because a national record should only get more accurate with every edition.
